In the new range of Wylex circuit protection there is a compact RCBO manufactured with AFD (arc-fault-detection) technology. One AFD combines the protection of a standard RCBO but also includes built in protection against arc faults via continually monitoring the circuit for a variety of conditions, such as the duration of the arc, if there are any irregularity as well as  waveform. When there is a irregularity or fault is detected the product shuts down preventing the risks of fire.

This item is suitable for both domestic and commercial distribution board installations. The product is able to be retrofitted to existing boards to increase the protection against electrical fires.

This product combines the protection and properties of; AFD- automatically disconnects dangerous electrical arcs that can cause fires. MCBs- technology that prevents overload currents and overheating. RCD- which prevents electrical shock.
